Volunteering at West Hatch Wildlife Centre

The workload at the Wildlife Centre is very seasonal and we rely on volunteers to help us through the busy summer months. We normally advertise for volunteers in March each year in the local newspapers but if you are interested in helping then just contact us now and we'll keep your details on record.

We normally prefer that volunteers do at least one fullday per week throughout the summer season, but the more time you can provide the better. The work involves looking after some of the 600+ animals we have on site at that time of year and involves a lot of repetitive cleaning and feeding jobs. But you'll get the chance to meet people and learn.
